Improve your System Speed and Maximize Security
Increasing System Performance
Many a times we come up across the situation that , it takes much longer time for the data to be accessed and sometime , entirely slows down the boot time of Windows . In this case , here are the some of solutions which you can try to improve the performance of your system.
As a first step , you should navigate and delete temporary files stored in the folder .
In order to access the 'Temporary Files' folder , navigate to 'Run' and type '%temp% . This will open the folder containing 'Temporary Files'. Here , you should delete all the files and try to empty the folder .
If this option does not work , you should navigate to run with 'Disk Cleanup' option .In order to start with 'Disk Cleanup' , navigate to 'Run' and type 'Cleanmgr.exe' . Else , you
needs to navigate to 'Control Panel' , select to choose 'Performance Information & Tools' and select to choose , 'Open disk cleanup'. Select the drive where you wish to run the 'Disk Cleanup' and click on 'Ok'.
Here , select the folders whose contents you wish to delete and click on 'Ok' .
If above step too doesn't work , then you should go for defragmenting your hard drive . For complete information upon defragmentation , refer this post .
Apart from this , you may also make use of virtual memory in order to speed up your system. Basically , virtual memory is a part of disk space ( which is better if it's attached to removable drive ) which could be used as a memory cache to access frequently used programs.
You may navigate to the following path in order to change the defaults settings for the Virtual memory.
